Alright I know this is pretty silly, but I'd like to know how y'all guys have installed this cargo net

To the standard cleats the Tacomas come with. I have a 2022. Do I need to buy special cleats for the bed track system to attach information technology? As yous tin run into, the net has stretchy nylon loops to attach to a hook. The OEM cleats that came with the vehicle practise not have any hook blazon appendage on them.

    Example:

  2. The cargo internet I had was for behind the dorsum seat storage. I didnt know they made one for the bed :notsure:

You have the stretchy loop function of the net and pull it thru the opening next to the "spin knob" and pull it over so it hooks onto the cleat function ( > )

if no i else replies and my desc is a little confusing, ill become a pic of mine later lol

And I bet that came with the instructions that I threw away, HA! Thank you, I appreciate it!
  7. I put two bed cleats nigh 1.v feet forward from my tailgate. And then install on cleats as shown above. Lower 2 corners I bought two cheep plastic snaps and hook the corners to the d rings. I also have a Tonneau cover. This is neat for grocery shopping - open the gate and put in the sacks/packages. Should I need the whole bed, just pop the cyberspace off the bed cleats. (This also saves scratching the truck to get at stuff in the net if installed backside the cab.

You simply gave me an idea. I was going to go to the hardware store to buy a couple of double headed metal snaps to tether down the lesser portion of the net, but I have a bunch of black zip ties sitting around doing nothing correct now. Thanks! I may however go buy the metal snaps though.

  9. Purchase Plastic if you lot can. Won't rust or rattle....

I moved mine from behind the rear window/forward office of the bed to along the drivers side of the bed. More hands accessible for me. Especially when retrieving items.

While we're on the subject. Hauling things around anyway, does anyone accept any good ideas for safely hauling those big five gallon jugs of water in the bed? I used my net last night for information technology, and information technology worked just fine. They did slide horizontally though. No big deal, I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on this.
  12. I accept a few safety tie down straps. I put my 5gal gas containers at the back of the truck with the internet located only before the tailgate. I put the tie down through the handles and tie the ends to the D rings.
When not using for containers, I claw each cease of the tie downward claw through the bottom end corners of the internet and clip to the D rings at both ends - and then the necktie downwardly is apartment to the bed. It then holds downwardly the bottom of the cyberspace and I tin even so wedge small-scale packages under the tie down if needed.

I'd snug them against the tailgate and ratchet strap them to the dorsum; I'm a piffling anal well-nigh no movement.'

On original topic; I put my cargo internet across the bed as shown in a higher place; but i have the rail as far back as possible; so if the net flaps information technology just hits the tailgate. Less abrasive when not in use.

I attached the net to the cleats like that the first time. I was kind of concerned it my ruin the stretchiness, so I asked on hither for the "proper" fashion to practise it. Yours have held upwards just fine like that? Thank you for the suggestions anybody, they've been helpful!

I will admit I am concerned about the loop's integrity after 4 years of constant use, seems a piffling worn. But, the internet has been in the bed exposed to the elements, since twenty-four hour period one.:D Then, I'k thrilled it'due south lasted through years of my abuse. Well beyond the recommended usage, as well. Seriously though, get one of those yellow nets or the like. I've used mine to keep my riding mower in place from the shop.(500 Lbs.) No move, no issues. Or, try some toyota bed dividers. Probably expensive, though...

If you have the time I'd like to see link to that xanthous cargo cyberspace, or something similar it. That would come in handy. If anything, just for getting new BBQ grills or new mowers, and the like.
